Our Club has been established for over 87 years and has something for all ages – friendship, competition, but above all fun and enjoyment. It is a great place to bring friends and to make new friends.

We are located within Arnos Park and enjoy the beautiful surroundings that the park has to offer. The Club was founded in 1937 and has been part of the Southgate community ever since. We welcome both experienced players and those new to the game.

Over the years we have enjoyed success in county competitions, and we are delighted that many of our members have played for Middlesex County. 

In 2002 Arnos set the Guinness World Record for non-stop indoor bowling. A team of 3 men and 3 ladies (all Senior Citizens) played for 36 hours non-stop.

The Club organises frequent social events such as barbecues, curry and pizza evenings, and has recently introduced a Bridge Section which is gaining in popularity. Even if you don’t play Bowls why not join us as a Social Member and enjoy fun events in great company.

The Club is well aware of its responsibilities to its members and guests and operates a robust safeguarding policy, details of which can be found on our Welfare page.

We are very proud of our achievements, and the hard work of our members will ensure that the Club thrives for many years to come.

Why not join us? Lawn bowls is suitable for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. As a low-intensity sport it can improve fitness, coordination, flexibility and mental health without placing too many physical stresses on the body. Bowls is also a great way to meet new people.
